Country Blues from the Finger Lakes
The Cayuga Blue Notes is a trio based near Ithaca, NY who sing country blues with heart and respect, backed by guitars, harmonica and bass. Listen to some of our tunes.
Greg plays National Steel guitar, lap steel, acoustic guitar and is the main singer in the band. He is also the leader of another local band, the "Zydeco Trail Riders".
Pat plays harmonica and electric guitar in the band. He's also a member of "Purple Valley".
Playin music for states of well being. Coaxing tough and tender notes from the simple and oh so expressive harmonica. Joining with fellow musicians and music lovers, for fun and gathering, and doing my best not to stuggle and strife the rest of the time. Cause "No matter how I stuggle and strive, I'll never get out'a this world alive" (Hank Williams).
Jim plays bass, and occasionally tenor banjo in the band. He is a member of the old time string band "Long John and the Tights", the Finnish/Tex-Mex band "Toivo", and of the "Zydeco Trail Riders".
